Whilst learning about sustainability, P6/7 explored the school’s carbon footprint, identifying key issues affecting climate change and proposing strategies to improve our footprint. They then made a climate pledge to make better use of our outdoor area.
This film was created by them as a way to express their views and ideas. It was entered into the North Ayrshire Climate Pledge Competition and we at Lamlash Primary School are absolutely delighted to find out that they came in 2nd place, winning a cash prize of £300!
We can’t wait to see how P6/7 will invest this money in our outdoor area and help our school to become more sustainable!
